I know, this has been done a million times, but for some reason or another, a lot of gaming companies just don’t get it. Now I am not saying that this article is going to change the minds of game developers at all. However, I think that a lot of us sometimes let these things go by as just, “part of the genre.” I hope that as people continue to see these things, it will annoy them, and possibly even move them to declare to the developers that laziness in writing or developing wont go unnoticed and perhaps, not tolerated.

I will split up my top gaming clichés articles into genres starting with today’s cliché, Fantasy gaming / Role Playing. Now I understand that when you deal with “fantasy” there needs to be a level of suspension of disbelief. However, despite the fantasy background, there still needs to be a level of logical explanation behind many RPG/MMOs basic conventions.
